Sometimes I don’t think it’s anxiety.
I think it’s your mind telling you that something in your life no longer fits.
The job that drains you.
The relationship you’ve outgrown.
The routine that once worked but doesn’t anymore.
The goals that no longer excite you.
We often call it anxiety because we don’t know what else to call it.
But sometimes it’s awareness.
It’s the feeling that you’re meant to move in a different direction.
Your mind and body can sense misalignment before you can explain it.
That’s why a holiday can make you feel lighter.
That’s why a long walk can clear your head.
That’s why some people feel better the moment they make a difficult decision.
Nothing around them has changed yet.
But something inside them has.
I’ve seen this in life, and I’ve seen it on projects.
Sometimes what we call a problem is simply a sign that something no longer fits.
A process has outgrown its purpose.
An assumption no longer holds.
A direction needs to change.
The discomfort isn’t always there to stop you.
Sometimes it’s there to move you.
I don’t think every feeling of anxiety needs to be silenced.
Some feelings need to be listened to.
Because sometimes the discomfort isn’t a problem.
It’s information.
It’s your life asking a question:
What no longer belongs here?
What have you outgrown?
And what is trying to emerge next?
Because sometimes what we call anxiety is simply the feeling of outgrowing something.
